Some entries never Sync

I have a setup where there is a shared public contacts folder. Some contacts never syncronize to the private contact folder. Is this most likely a permission issue? What permissions need to be on the folder and on each contact to insure that they are correctly copied.

I see that the category is never set in these records even though the user can modify them.

Hello,

You should have the right to modify an item. But if you don't mark the checkbox "both ways". It should be enough if you have rights to read.
Could it be that these elements you mean, are marked as "private"?
